food poisioning took my mom to lunch there service was slow had to ask busgirl for coffee and all refills. my mom had the crab salad and got food poisioning, when I called to reort the illness server stated she always smells food and it was good. I have been a nurse for 28 yrs. and she a food handler for who knows how long should know that bacteria does not always have a smell otherwise would we ever have had E-Coli??
Great food - nice atmosphere Wally's has some of the best fish and chips in the southend - love the halibut. They are reasonalby priced and the staff is friendly. They have nice outdoor seating in the warm weather months. I highly recommend Wallys.
Great Fish and Chips Wally's has the best fish and chips around. The clam chowder is wonderful - very filling. It is a meal in itself. The atmosphere is fun and the staff is very friendly.
Quaint Dining Iâve eaten at Wallyâs several times. The atmosphere is quaint, with both indoor and outdoor seating. The service is good, the food is resonably priced and the clam chowder is to die for! The fish and chips are also excellent. All in all, a great place for seafood!
Wally's Chowder House It just doesn't get any better than "all you can eat" fish and chips for lunch on the veranda in the summertime. The clam chowder is rich and thick. Good homemade pies for dessert.
Stopped to have a great lunch, Our server was Tiffany and was great, I had never been at Wally' s before but hear how great, so when ask if I wanted a bowl of Clam-chow, told her had allergies to shell fish, she was very nice explained that all fish cook together, so I should not partake of the Fish &Chips I had ordered, So I orders the Cheeseburger with bacon and was very please, because of Tiffany thoughtfulness I was able to enjoy my lunch with my friends didn't have any health problems. there clam showder is ok, there fish and chips are reminiscent of skippers for twice the money. Not terrible but nothing special either
why isnt it listed for seafood – I have to tell you, as a chef, I love great freah seafood and these guys do it right, I cant find one thing wrong with walleys. Look you want cozy, relaxed, come here, anthoneys is ok but why pay more for a product is equal in always without the stuffed shirts. Ok when I leave mine is stuffed but from great fish. Well I not only grew up in the seafood industry, Mom owned a fish/chowder house, dad was a commercial fisherman, but I'm also a chef. So I'm pretty critical when it comes to price, and freshness. Sorry mom they beat your great chowder, its done right, the fish is beyond fresh, only fresher is fillet it as it is pulled on board.
