Caution ..... a lovely scenic drive to start with, on the link road, but turned into a challenge in our 4wd over near the Wallingat Picnic area. we were following the link Road according to our GPS. and it turned into an exhilarating experience - no where to turn around after heading up a steep rutted out section of the road , had to continue up and onwards, had to cross a old narrow wooden bridge, and ended up coming out at the Gur-um-bee picnic area. the comical thing about this there was a sign saying no access to this ro... read more
Unfortunately the walks were closed due to a recent storm of wind and flooding.
This was a great road trip, and I wouldn't mind coming back again but with an off-road vehicle. It was raining when we got there and it made it an even nicer drive because of the sound and atmosphere. There were enough road signs that made it easier to know where we are on the loop. It would help to download the map beforehand because there is no reception in some areas. There was this cute tree we just had to stop and take a photo with. Overall, it was a great experience.
