There needs to be a 0 star option!! Our family booked a house in downtown Charleston, South Carolina for 6 people for November 28, 2018. We are coming for a family wedding and have a lot of other family members who are staying in the same area and have multiple events in the area as well. If I could give this company zero stars, I would. I booked a condo in downtown Charleston, South Carolina on April 6, 2017 and paid the first portion of the total amount. I received a confirmation e-mail that same day. I then received an e-mail requesting the second portion of the payment on June 12th (about a month prior to our stay) and I paid it in full. To Whom It May Concern: After looking over the review of Walk Away Stays that was posted on July 22nd, 2017 I am concerned because it seems as though our company did everything possible to try to reconcile the situation. With managing over 80 properties and utilizing multiple 3rd party booking websites, double bookings unfortunately occur occasionally. I booked a stay October 10-14th, 2016, which was the week that Hurricane Matthew affected the East Coast. I contacted them as soon as it was determined Charleston was going to be affected. They were understandably unable to provide information early in the week. When I contacted them on Friday, October 7th, their offices had been evacuated. I was finally contacted mid-Saturday by someone who was evacuated to another city, and unable to verify the status of the property.
