The pharmacy staff members are nice once you can get someone on the phone, but count on a long hold time and a disconnection or two. Never call if you have less than a free half hour available. I've found that once I can speak to someone that the IT system used for filling and refilling scripts is very poor or the staff isn't trained adequately to use it. There are frequent errors with refills and incorrect automated notifications. It's a very inefficient process.
How is it possible that the most conveniently located pharmacy in the entire neighborhood also feels like the setting of a low-budget zombie movie? I swear every time winter hits and I’m there weekly with sick kids, I walk in and immediately think, “Ah yes… the Walgreens of Doom.” The staff? Rougher by the minute. No name tags. No uniforms.
