The owner and his son are no longer onsite. They hired a manager who wanted $475 for diagnosing my a/c in my Avalanche. He said he couldn't find a leak so it must be leaking from inside my compressor and I also need a drier for $1700. He claims it took him 3 hours to put in some dye and look for leaks. I told him I checked the box on the contract specifying a written estimate for over $100. Ben is the man. He is a lifesaver. Wouldn’t take my cars anywhere else. Started taking my newer suv there every 6 months or so for regular oil and checkup after service warranty expired. Maybe 2 years later had a weird braking problem and got it towed to Wells. Ben took a look at it and advised me it was a major drivetrain failure. Instead of trying to bleed me, he helped me find the right dealer to go to with it. Turned out the whole trans was bad, $8k and only about a month left on the manufacturer warranty. I had my outside temperature status off went her to let them know what could be possible causes he wanted $360 to check it and that wasn’t including repairing he was very vague fast and dismissive made it all about money and I went right down to Master Tech they scanned everything and also discovered my ambient air sensor was unplugged. It immediately fixed my problem and I do not recommend Wales Garage too money hungry and when customers ask you to check something first listen to them glad it’s all done and ready to role.
