Our experience was a difficult journey that we are still on. At first I was untrusting and brokenhearted by my daughter’s struggle. As the staff here worked with us and we began to be patient with and trust the healing process, things improved. They were welcoming of our concerns and responsive. I came to Monte Nido - Walden feeling like this was the last place I needed to be. I was referred by a Dr. I was very apprehensive going but when leaving after that 1 st night of Evening Program I realized that was just what I needed. Yes, the program focus on Eating Disorders but it goes way beyond that. It gets to the root cause of our emotions. Why we do the behaviors we do.
