My doctor ordered lab work and said I could go to any of the Wake Med locations. I chose the Wendell location because of the convenience to where we live. I arrived midday on a Friday and was in and out in less than 10 minutes. The facility was very quiet and the staff very polite, but I needed just to check in at the convenient kiosk and did not have to wait for a person to check me in. Today, the ER nurse doing triage thought he knew better than 5 doctors and put in my 4 day migraine as a headache. Finally walked out after sitting in the waiting room for over 2 hours when online wait time was 26 minutes. Obviously not accurate. The last time I was there for lung issues, they immediately took me back but wouldn't give me anything to open my lungs for over an hour. They ran unnecessary tests to bill insurance instead.

Sitting here for 4 hours with head trauma from a major car accident!! Nauseous with a splitting headache spine pain and I can’t even get a Tylenol!!! I’m here begging for help at this point while the nurse and doctors stand around laughing and discussing their personal business. I’ve never felt so small in my life!

I visited this facility today after suffering a fall down my staircase at home. I called EMS because I was unable to get up on my own after injuring my arm. I was in excruciating pain, and even the slightest movement caused severe pain. EMS suggested taking me to WakeMed Wendell instead of the Raleigh location because I could likely be seen sooner. I recently became immunosuppressed. Because I had good experience in the past here, I've continued to choose this facility as my primary choice for emergency care They take my immunosuppression very seriously here. I never feel rushed or dismissed; they always give me extra attention due to my condition. This is very rare nowadays so I trust this facility more than anyone when it comes to my emergencies. I know that if I come here, the care will be thorough.
