I went to the Raleigh Campus ER on Friday 8/15/25 at 8am on the advise of my primary care doctor for repeated falls and nerve related issues. I walked in, registered, had my vitals taken and before I could go sit down to be called, I was called in to triage. The triage nurse was super nice and very sympathetic about my issue. I went there yesterday in extreme abdominal pain trying to find out what was wrong with me. I have always thought Wake Med was one of the best hospitals in the world. If any hospital could figure this out, it would be Wake Med. Even though the hospital is almost an hour away, I decided they were worth the trip. As someone who recently moved to Raleigh, I expected to find compassion and professionalism in a hospital setting — especially in moments of distress and pain. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Doctors are so dumb here to the point, they ask me what I should be testing to diagnose myself like I’m the doctor :/
Waited six hour for a burst appendix to be seen, called for nurse aid, walked around for help, NOTHING. What a joke. 24 hpurs later and finally had a room and appendix issue down
