Dr. Rupcich is an outstanding doctor. He spends time listening to me, explains things well (like bloodwork results), and answers all my questions. He is nonjudgmental and truly cares for his patients. I am so glad he is my primary physician and I highly recommend him.

I had a really frustrating experience with WakeMed. I made an appointment expecting to be seen for my appointment, but the receptionist was extremely rude and dismissive from the start. Instead of trying to help or explain anything clearly, she told me that the doctor refused to see me and then canceled my appointment altogether. There was no effort to find a solution, reschedule, or even communicate respectfully. Being treated like that when you’re just trying to get medical care is unacceptable. This practice is basically a pharmaceutical store front. The answer to every health question is a prescription. I go every year for a physical and get offered the same range of vaccines. My wife went in for a check-up and was prescribed blood pressure meds in the first five minutes of her visit. And, if you or your physician talks about anything other than your primary reason for the visit, you WILL be billed for a second visit (i.e., you get double-billed; check your paperwork). You've been warned.

My girlfriend came to get checked out and found herself waiting 4 hours just to get an X-ray. She heard laughter and playing come from the workers in the hallway. She then decided she would rather go the urgent care around the corner and a worker insisted she couldn’t leave. She did leave. She went to the urgent care and was in and out In 2 hours. No excuses !!!
