Horrible experience with Dr. Fashakin Thore as an OB/GYN this June on the WakeMed North team. I’ve had to report her to Patient Relations for what was initially a very impersonal visit turned disrespectful while I wanted her to follow up on information listed in my chart, that she said she didn’t have time to read up on before my appointment and would not. Dr Jarvis delivered my baby via scheduled c section In April 2026. Overall my prenatal care, birth and hospital stay was a 10/10. My only feedback is I felt I had to really advocate for myself with some of the providers to get the ferratin infusions I really needed (I was completely symptomatic with a low ferratin of 5 however they seemed more focused on my stable hemoglobin instead), as well as when I called for a doctors note for first trimester nausea some providers wanted me to COME IN for an extra appointment to discuss... read more
I gave birth here in October 2025. As a first time mom, I had a great experience. Cara Cameron was amazing. She delivered my baby and made sure I got everything on my birth plan while keeping the vibes light and fun. My nurse, Obu, was amazing. I can’t thank her enough for all her help and for advocating for me. I would love to give birth here again, but unfortunately my insurance no longer covers Wake Med. If I could give ZERO,I would. This place ONLY cares about money. I had a procedure not long ago& needed a check up asap to make sure everything went smoothly. I called SO many places & they all weren’t taking new patients till April. I finally called here & they said Cara Cameron could see me today at 11am. I live an HOUR away from the office, it’s RAINING & they don’t tell you, you have to park on the other side of the building in a PARKING GARAGE.
