I was admitted to WakeMed Hospital on Jan 3, 2023. I had Aortic Valve Replacement performed by Dr Boulton. First off let me say he is one talented Dr. Not only was the first appointment comfortable, but his bedside manner was impressive. A good and productive visit.
Getting a diagnosis resulting from request for clearance for an unrelated surgery resulted in a diagnosis of narrowing of aortic valve in severe range. Total shock for me as I stressed my heart all my life and never did occur to me that I had a heart issue. Now, just like that, I needed a valve replacement.
