There is a reason this place is empty. I went in with the worst pain if my life. Antibiotics weren't working. I had already been to Duke ER and several urgent care visits. This place told me I have a hydrocele which they described as "a small painless fluid filled sack." Took me a few more weeks of excruciating testicular pain to convince my doctors that I don't have an infection and that the cause is Ehlers Danlos syndrome. Prompt and very kind care.
I came in for an emergency and the doctor or the provider refused to treat me for the things I asked for.
Went in this afternoon with abdominal pain. Turns out it’s appendicitis, currently waiting in my very comfortable room for transport to WakeMed north for surgery. I can’t say enough kind things about the staff here. From the gentleman at reception, to the triage nurse, to the nurses in my room, to the doctor, and to the CT scan technician. Everyone is so kind and empathetic and made me feel so comfortable. I can’t recommend this place enough.
The receptionist, nurses, and doctors are so amazing and kind. The wait was super short they got us back as soon as I was done checking in. My little one was not feeling well and the nurses were so kind and supportive. I can’t thank the team at Wake Med ED enough. Such a kind hearted and patient team!
