I was selected for a study but, after rearranging my entire schedule and driving an hour to get there, I was told that the study had closed the previous day. Their excuse for not notifying me was that the person who makes the calls was gone for the day. The "director was visibly irritated at my frustration regarding the inconvenience their lack of communication caused for me. They showed no respect for my time or effort.
