Local University Barbecue Diner While me and my family stayed at the Hilltop Hotel the weekend my parents were dropping me off to attend WSU for the year me and my family choose the very very close Porky's Pit Barbecue restaurant for dinner the night before we were to move me in to my dorm room for the year. I choose the ever famous ribs, baked potato, and salad dinner combo, and rest of my family choose what they wanted. Would love to go back We absolutely loved our week-long stay there. Authentic plantation cottages all arranged in a quiet, relaxing, private setting. Our cottage allowed us to sit on the lanai and watch the ocean as wild roosters wandered by. It is a short walk to the quaint village of Waimea, where you can get the best shaved ice on the island. We hope to go back some day.
Excellent place to stay The prices were reasonable and the rooms were extremely clean. We stayed here on our honeymoon and it had a nice romantic ambiance.
