If you are thinking about talking to someone like on Bob Newhart don't even continue reading because this ain't no sit down and talk guy. You will be out of your chair in 5 minutes ...tops. He is only interested in pushing pills. Lots of pills, more pills than anyone needs. He even sends in scrips to the pharmacy after you leave his practice. I was depressed and after several visits saw he had no interest in my depression, just giving pills to hide it, I finally asked if he could recommend someo
I recently switched to Dr Wahba when my dr gave up her practice. I must say I am very pleased with the dr and his staff. Very nice people, very upbeat and I actually look forward to going to talk with my dr. I highly recommend.
Saw my mother at St James rehab. Discontinued 2 of mom's meds that she had been on for 6 years prior without consulting the family or her primary doctor that prescribed them. Now mom is worse than ever. Have to start all over with her. And he left NO reason at the facility why the meds were stopped. WORSE CARE EVER DO NOT SEE HIM.
Does not listen. Prescribes medications despite warnings regarding underlying conditions. Increases medication without knowing when originally taken.
Very good doctor. Listens to what you have to say, has a good bedside manner, pleasant and knowledgeable in his field
I have never met dr wahba but scouting out psychiatrists, this what i believe, the client needs much more han 2 minutes and a refill.
...b/c limited typing. I just came out of the hospital because of severe depression. First time, I saw him for just 2 minutes. After the antipsychotics and ssris fail, he tells me to go to the hospital!?! That's the reason I am seeing you!? He does not even prescribe maois and doesn't even push any of the ssris to the max fda limit or augment with another antidepressant. He has no clue how to treat tough depression. I don't know how this arab is allowed to be a dr in america.
I have been a patient of Dr. Wahba for the most part from 2002 to date, Even after my Medicaid insurance no longer covered him, I paid out of pocket. I did so,and did without MANY basic necessities because I have been seen by MANY psychiatrists over the years and find that I not only refuse to see anyone else, I just do not trust anyone except for him. He has shown not only exceptional professionalism, but compassion and caring for what have to deal with. Sincerely, Eileen M. Carley
