I tried Wah Yuen for the first time today. It was a bit tricky figuring out their hours of operation, best to check their Facebook page. The food is reasonably priced and nice portion sizes. I had the hot pepper chicken and red curry chicken. They were both great. The first bite of each seemed a bit bland, but I quickly realized it was because the flavors are subtle and they were not overloaded with salt like most Chinese restaurants. The new, revived Wah Yuen is delightful! Good dishes. Fresh ingredients, crunchy vegetables. So far nothing soppy and soaked in grease! Owners and staff were very friendly. Good job!
If you know, you know. This place is a treasure. It already has a huge fan base, and so doesn't even need my review. I've been eating here for 27 years. It is unique to any other restaurant. Since the pandemic has changed the world, they have made the decision to operate as carry out only. The food is still the best Chinese carry out you can get in our landlocked state. I have tried a few different dishes when I am in the area and I never been disappointed. I look forward to stopping and trying something new. The spring rolls and egg rolls I highly recommend. The staff is friendly and enjoyable.
Good food. Quick turn around. Really good crab Rangoon.
