My worst experience ever with an HSA bank. They accidentally cancelled my cards...which gave me no access to my funds. I was leaving on a trip in a week and needed to pick up an RX, go to the Dr and get some contacts for my daughter. They gaslighted me at first...then admitted their error. No problem ...we all make mistakes. Then they refused to overnight me new ones(even though I offered to pay for shipping). Took three weeks to get my new cards. I feel unvalued as a customer. I didn't realize how good we had it until my employer switched out HSA providers to HealthEquity. It's been nothing but problems and difficulties since then. The customer support individuals I've dealt with over the phone have been courteous and professional and they've tried to help but overwhelmingly, it seems that it's programmed into HealthEquity's DNA to do everything possible to hold onto their customer's funds. The worse. My card magically goes on hold every year before I need to use my benefits or loose it. 1 time for $10. I send itemized receipts the EOBs. They can’t do math and they do not understand the concept you can make a payment on a bill on two different days. The doctor office can charge a copay today then when insurance don’t pay full amount you still have a balance to pay. Now card on hold for $450 that I’ll loose in 4 days.
