We stopped in on a road trip. We asked the waitress if they’d do a cute waffle with maybe some whipped cream on it for our daughter’s first birthday. A couple minutes later, another waitress came up to us and said loudly that they don’t give anything for free… It embarrassed us because there were other customers right by us, and we never asked for anything for free in the first place.
