DO NOT GO HERE Absolutely disgusted by my last and final visit after testing. Go ahead and try to threaten me with slander or legal action as I have the receipts to prove what was said and transpired. This Doctor (if you can call him that) had the audacity to tell me to my face that my symptoms were all in my head. I saw Dr Refai twice and after my second appointment with him, it became clear that he was operating with biases against me. At my first appointment I explained long-term GI symptoms that had recently become severe. I was ready to be referred to Cleveland Clinic’s motility clinic at that time as I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and slowed motility is a common cause of the symptoms I have for people with my condition. Gave me information I needed and have no complaints about his staff. Very informative.
UPDATE: today is 12/15/24- 6:00 p.m. NOBODY CALLED ME BACK. I would never recommend this physician to anyone, EVER. A couple years ago, I was going to have a procedure done by him, but his office staff gave me all the wrong paperwork. I was unable to get a hold of a person, I was calling during business hours, but the lady that handles scheduling didn’t call me back so I left her a message that I was canceling my procedure. While Dr. Refai has a nice manner I find him unacceptable as my gastro doctor. Had colonoscopy by him. Did not need to meet him in an office visit beforehand. Did not meet him in hospital pre-procedure room or OR because he was "running late." Did not meet him after procedure either. It just seemed weird to never meet someone doing a procedure on you (with some history of colon problems and surgery).
