We went eagle watching and went driving around this area and it was wonderful. Very quaint area and enjoyed our super bowl sunday out there looking at eagles.
First, there’s an amazing historic museum placed in insanely realistic downtown buildings. And some old wooden cabins designed like a real 1840s village. You can ride on the canal boat down the canal. And there’s a playground combined with the canal boat with great hiding spots, great for tag, and there’s a slide. Down the trail there’s an old lime kiln, an old building, and an old post office. There’s a bridge, and a old church, with a museum that was built in 1826. Also great location.
Amazingly knowledgeable staff. Great little hands on museum. We learned so much. Totally worth stopping.
