Why are we still using coal in 2025? Carting trainloads of coal from Wyoming every day doesn't make economic sense and consumers are paying for this dirty power. NRG even reported in May 2024 plans to retire portions of the plant - why the flip flop? And don't get me started on the unlined coal ash pits leaching into our soil and groundwater sources...
If you want a coal plant near your house so bad go back to the 1800s
Electricity production is crucial! P.s. for global warming people: There is 0.04% CO2 in the atmosphere. If drops below 0.02% all plants die. Plants breathe CO2 ... i learned that in kinder garden. If yall care about earth go after China and India most pollution comes there. And give away everything you own since everything is made or use fuels to make stuff...
