I had stage 4 cancer of the stomach in 2006. Dr. Melvin removed my entire stomach plus 33 lymph nodes in stomach cavity in order to get all cancer out. I had 8 months of chemo & 6 weeks radiation & have been cancer free for 12 yrs. Dr. Melvin & Oncologist, Dr. Raju in Dayton saved my life. Both are fantastic. Everything that Dr. Melvin explained was spot on including weight loss, learning to eat again, everything. Great Doctors. Thank you both Doctors & GOD BLESS you.
I would definitely NOT recommend him for anything. He did a wipple procedure on me in December of 2013 and I still am trying to recouperate in 2016. He did not ever see me again after the surgery was performed. He must have thought I would not live to tell what he did. I never saw him after the operating room. I had to have five more major surgeries to fix his mistakes and still have too many problems to mention. I cannot rate him for the chart does not do a minus.
In 2000 Dr Melvin perfomed gastric bypass surgery on me. I was over 400 pounds. Today Some 16 years later I still have lost over half my body weight. Dr Scott Melvin is amazing. I love his personality and the way he treated me was better than any other Dr. Thank you Dr Melvin.
