Not only a great mechanic, but honest and genuinely lovely person. I had my car broken into whilst staying in Brighton. The door lock had been tampered with and electrics left on which drained the battery. Also realised at that point that my MOT had run out the day before (my own stupid fault) and he checked my car over to make sure it was all ok then called someone to get it booked in straight away for MOT so I could get home with my son.
