I was very unhappy with this law firm's billing practices. The case was straightforward, and the plaintiff was self-represented with no formal education in law. Despite that, our lawyer charged $450/hour and still needed more than 8 hours of preparation for an 8-hour trial. If a lawyer demands such a premium rate, they should have the experience and skill to prepare more efficiently. This felt like an unjustified overcharge for a non-complicated case.
Stephen provided solid legal service during my real estate transaction, and I initially felt I was in good hands. However, their accounting mistake led to unexpected bills— months down the road, an unpleasant surprise that could have been avoided with better attention to detail. What made it worse was the lack of accountability. While the legal work itself was competent, trust is just as important in these matters, and this experience left a sour taste. If you work with them, double-check everything yourself!”
