In 1974, Jim Mauro Sr. brought the first lineal vinyl extruder to the United States from Germany. He began to make vinyl extrusions at a company he created, Poly-tex. Simultaneously, Jim created Vynex Window Systems Inc. which was the first fabricator of the first all tubular vinyl window, which is the vinyl window as we know it today.
