This is my third year buying an annual pass, which is so much better. They mail it to you a couple days before the end of the month. I recommend heavy acrylic screw down card holders for storage, or, getting a wallet which has a peekaboo slot. I wish the bus stops were cleaner, but you can't have everything.

After years of using VTA buses, I can honestly say this may be one of the worst transportation agencies in the country. The buses are often dirty and unpleasant, and many of the drivers appear poorly trained, sometimes not even familiar with the streets or stops along their routes. On top of that, the customer service representatives are frequently unhelpful and some are rude like Rosie, a so called lead. I’m giving one star only because there’s no option to leave a "0". I wish I could get s free ride like all the youth people do. This is totally unfair, should be a lawsuit for not being fair to all customers. Seems like favoritism. I swear out of 30 calendar days 20 of those days every youth customer just walks on the bus without paying or using pass. Super unfair for everyone else that DOES pay.

I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't get my senior Clipper card at Walgreens, but this visit made up for it. Short line, quick service and a good chat with the representative. Thanks!
