Sold off my loans and took advantage of me. Find another lender.
I too have had major issues with the 529 transition. I have found Vestwell totally unhelpful and incompetent. After many conversations with the “call center” and ignored emails I complained enough that I was finally connected to someone who could help me. It took more than a month to get into my account! The switch has been a total disaster
VSAC recently changed their 529 management. As a result I am no longer able to access my account. I have to pay my kids’ tuition, but cannot access my own money to do so. Tech support said they had it fixed, but to wait two days to access. No joy. I’ve now called back repeatedly, spent hours on hold. Now they aren’t answering their support number. They still have my money, but I can’t access it.
I get it the student loan market is perverse in this country - if you doubt it watch a John Oliver show on student loans. YET, every person I talk with for our parent loans for my college kids are prompt, professional, thorough and kind. It is my responsibility to be a conscious consumer of any product. As much as I don't like current interest rates I know it is not VSAC's fault.
