The Houma location has seriously deteriorated. I remember eating there when it first opened and everything was amazing, Ordered a Zydeco platter tonight: the portions were so skimpy Miley Cyrus could wear them in her next video. Everything was dry. Pulled pork was waaaayyyy too salty to eat, brisket was mostly fat (paid 2.40 extra for that) and the sides were tasteless and boring. Next time I'm craving BBQ, I'll take my business to Big Mike's.
Two years ago when my moved to houma; this was mine and my husband's date spot. Loved the food, the service and the ambiance. We've since moved a bit north but returned today and did a "voodoo lunch" I was beyond disappointed. Jazz music has been replaced by "dance club music" that was a major disappointment considering it was once my little piece of New Orleans. You can get better quality BBQ elsewhere. Brisket is always too fatty. Very expensive for what you get.
They have recently reopened under corporate ownership and the food is fabulous!
