quite a surprise Vons Cards and beads should have been called "amazing odds and ends", because that's what it has. Cards, beads, plush toys, and jewelry it has galores, but also fossils of snails, preserved butterflies, geological marvels, incenses, and other unique memento-type sundries. The place is quite a bit of fun to roam, and a great source of last-minute gifts, right by campus.
Wow If you've never been to Von's, you are in for a treat. On the Purdue campus, Von's has stuff you can't find anywhere else. Great jewelry, CD's, albums, the best greeting card selection anywhere, and the beads alone can keep you in the store for hours. Great place just to go and browse. PROS: Good prices. CONS: Too much stuff to see
Von's is awesome! I LOVE VONS!!!!! (wish the video/comic store was still there tho) it is just so unique, there are no other stores like it in lafayette/west lafayette!
Unique little store If you are at a loss as to what to get for a person, who has everything - swing by this little store. They have fossil stones, butterflies in glass cases, every type of candle imaginable, and tons of other little things that you don't find anywhere else. Their stock of stuffed toys is amazing - a separate little cove, sorted by types of animal and sizes :) PROS: great selection CONS:
