My husband and I loved the care we received at Michigan Medicine! The labor and delivery team - the nurses, midwives, doctors, and residents - were all exceptionally gifted at their jobs, and we always felt like we were in great hands for our natural birth. They provided heating pads and made our stay as comfortable as possible. And in our 36 hours there, we were also visited by two lactation consultants and two pediatricians - they sent us home feeling cared for and poised for what’s next. 10/10 recommend!
This is quite literally the worst hospital to go through for OB care. I was pregnant with twins and when I came to any of the doctors or nurses with a concern, they wrote me off and pretty much just copied and pasted textbook answers to me and never responded with their own words in regards to my concern. I ask for specific nausea medications because I’ve gone through multiple pregnancies and I have HG, they want to ignore me when I tell them that the medications they’re trying to prescribe to me don’t work and cause negativ... read more
Doctors in women hospital there are very nice and helpful.
They discharged me immediately after a 6 hour gynecological surgery and didn't prescribe any opioid pain medication. I woke up at home in the middle of the night screaming in pain and had no relief. A couple weeks later at the main hospital my husband had a 20 minute minor procedure and was prescribed 18 narcotic pain pills which he didn't even take. U of M doesn't take women's pain seriously even after major surgery they still treated me like a drug seeker.
