I’m so glad I met Valerie after moving to the area! She knows what she’s doing. I even brought my toddler son here after a few bad haircuts at a kids salon. He has a couple of cowlicks, but Valerie knows how to work with his hair to make it look good. More importantly, he likes his hair after she cuts it. I highly recommend supporting this local business.
My first time at Von Riesen Hair Co and I will return. Paul did a beautiful short cut with a razor, a skill few have mastered. Meticulously clean, stylish salon. A Winnipeg treasure.
Took my teenage daughter to Paul and the experience was amazing! She got exactly what she wanted with her very long hair. Multiple layers, keeping the length, with bangs and the final look is amazing. He eft the length and also cleared up a chronic dandruff condition that's been treated by Dr's with little success. Paul was the perfect calm energy I needed after I got scissor happy and decided to give myself a shag and I made an absolute mess. This studio is very well curated and the vibe was wonderful for inclusive converastion and holding space for each other. Thank you so much for helping me on my journey. It was a very relaxing spa like experience.
Paul was kind, however I asked that only the sides be cut around the ears not up the sides, only short in the back, longer on sides and front. I received a brush cut and unfortunately tomorrow I will need to wear a scarf on my head for family gathering as there is nothing I can do until it grows out. I showed a picture, yes, I said you can go very short in the back but only around the ears on the sides. Very nice desiged place but I don't know why I get a brush cut and my husband says I look like a man. Too bad.
