Dealership performed piston replacement\rebuild via extended Volvo corporate warranty for oil consumption. Directly following, engine developed a small external oil leak from a gasket reassembly. Not a big issue, but Service Dept claimed they would not stand behind their work within stated 15k mi warranty because “customer had not paid for the job directly” but rather via Volvo corporate under warranty.
