I am writing a formal complaint and hope that someone from your executive team reaches out to me. This is not a dealership complaint, it’s actually a complaint about you, Volvo. I hate writing this review, but after my experience with my 2021 Volvo XC90 Recharge T8, I feel other customers should be aware. From the time I owned the vehicle, I repeatedly brought suspension concerns to Volvo’s attention while the vehicle was still under warranty. The vehicle had ongoing issues with bottoming out and rough handling, yet instead of fixing the actual root cause, the service department seemed to just replace parts without ever resolving the problem. Volvos break and are expensive to fix. Their warranty is worthless. Any dealer that sells these cars is shady by virtue of selling such an awful brand.
I have a 2016 XC90 unfortunately nobody told me the engine was a ticking time bomb with a known issue causing engine failure. So at 99,500 miles in the middle of nowhere, our Volvo stopped working. Turns out Volvo would have replaced it if it would have failed sooner, but because we took a couple years to put on the miles. They said less than 100,000 miles and it would be covered (check) however that ended a couple years ago. So now we have a beautiful car with a large payment, that isn't worth fixing.
