Luce spoke with me and she told me they that she and her coworker personally will find peoples claims that qualify to call them and deny the people who are eligible so they can avoid doing anymore work then they have to. Humorous!

After completing online intake inform for help with employment law, intake called to tell me they "really don't do much of anything with employment" and that I can look stuff up online. The website clearly outlines employment law as an area VLN helps with. I picked "employment" from the menu and specifically filled out a form entitled "Employment Law" intake. Essentially telling me to Google it is really lame advice. Thanks for nothing.

I recently reached out to Volunteer Lawyers Network in hopes of receiving assistance with a serious legal matter. While I understand that income thresholds play a role in determining eligibility, I was disappointed that my situation was assessed solely by the numbers—without deeper consideration of my actual financial reality or the context behind my request.
