Scheduled an oil change and diagnostics on a Sunday for a Wednesday. Let me schedule with my vehicle info and VIN number. Got a text 4 hours before that said “we no longer service vehicles made before 2006.” Why was I even able to schedule? And why is Volkswagen abandoning older vehicles? Ridiculous.
Received a notice of a recall on my VW. Scheduled an appointment for the recall. Received *multiple* text messages from Emich VW confirming my appointment. Got to the appointment only to be told "the manager was supposed to be calling everyone" because the recall parts are on backorder. Don't use a dealership that doesn't respect your time and can't bother to pick up the phone.
The service center stripped the oil pan on my Jetta turning a 150 dollar oil change service to a cost close to 1000 dollars to fix. All my previous oil changes had been through them so if it was overtightened that was on them as well. The service dept refused to take responsibility and claimed it was common with my make/model. My car was stuck there so I paid it but I won't be back. Previously I had positive experiences but this was a shock.
