Do yourself a favour and DO NOT BUY A VW! Most unsupportive Vehicle manufacturer I have ever dealt with. Having owned Mazda's, Fords and Toyotas I have never had half the issues I have had with this company. We had an issue with a second hand vehicle we purchased which is in excellent condition and low KM's for the year. Worst customer service, managers do not call back. You ask to speak to a leader and get told there are no managers on. No accountability or ownership taken by the company for their faulty cars. Transmission went within 3years and then the shifter cable. Shocking mechanics. If I had an old car I would understand the breakdowns. Unacceptable. Total disappointment.
We purchased a brand new Volkswagen Golf convertible 6 years ago. We looked after it well clocking up only 25000km over the 6 years and servicing the car regularly at Volkswagen. Now it seemed that as soon as the warranty ran out little issues started developing shortly after they had to replace the airbags because they deemed them unsafe and obviously it was a manufacturing fault.
