Highly recommend this charming inn. The banana bread served at breakfast is truly delicious - I can see why they sell the recipe! I had a lovely light-filled room on the third floor. My bathroom and room were very clean, and no bugs to worry about. The in-room dehumidifier did all of the climate control needed, or you can leave the windows open and listen to the frogs sing. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and our host gave some great tips for the hike we had planned the next day with our group of children and adults. ... read more
We LOVED this place. It is so cute and right in the middle of the tropical forest. We ate breakfast on the little balcony and it is a very relaxing atmosophere (and the banana bread is delicious). It really feels like you are one with nature even though you are sleeping indoors away from the bugs. Not recommended for light sleepers. The walls are very thin, so you can hear your neighbours walking around and whatever else they’re doing. A rooster was also continuously crowing starting at 4:30am. Unfortunately, the floor in my room was dirty as well. Everywhere I walked there was dust and other particles clinging to my feet. My favorite stay in the big island. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was delicious. Location was super close to the volcano park. The rooms were very clean and homey. Definitely would stay here again.
