I have been with Vivint for about 7 years. The quality has been average, we experienced multiple issues with the video cameras not recording every event, the app crashing. Customer service is not very helpful when you call they are just pushing product to sell.

I have to call when I have two hours free…because calls take that long. Wait times are ridiculous. When they give you the option to get a call back when it’s your turn in the queue, you still have to wait for 10-15 minutes on hold. It’s infuriating. One representative told me multiple times in a recorded call that I would not have to pay for a technician to come out. I had to wait until the tech was delivered to schedule the technician. I requested to cancel my vivint service and have the account transferred to a new home owner. I received verbal and email confirmation that my account would be shutdown. However 4 months later I was still being charged and Vivint refuses to cancel my account nor refund me for the overages in charges. They are also charging the new homeowner for services as well. I have had vivant for 15 years, used to have great customer service. Today had a couple new sensors installed, tech was terrible. Asked him to remove his shoes instead of tracking snow and dirt all over my house and he told me it was against vivants policy for their safety. Asked if he had shoe covers then and he said no, so I gave him shoe covers which he did put on but then we walked outside to his car in them and came back inside and continued to track snow and dirt all over. Same story as many, things were going well until they were not. Tried to cancel service, they didn't cancel it and billed me for 6 more months and never told me until they sent me a letter.
