Before we got the Vito we strained the fryers by lifting out the fryer pot and putting it through a paper cone into a bucket and the putting it back into the fryer pot. Now we use the Vito to strain our fryers every night. Just put the Vito in the fryer pot and turn it on. This is so much safer and easier.
