When I have the words, I will properly express my infinite gratitude, respect and extraordinary praises for the commendable staff at VITAS hospice. So I will expand on this. My amazing father passed away there this morning. Without the overnight staff ( Ola maybe and one with beautiful long hair) with me this morning I just can't imagine how I would have coped. My mom was here 1 day and was very unhappy with the care and concern of the overnight nurses. She had soiled herself and they gave her a tissue so she could clean herself. I'm so disappointed I really thought highly of Vitas but now I'm sorry I had to see my mom deal with the lack of compassion.
They are very very friendly especially when family's are going thru this hard time of their loved ones being there. I have had 2 loved ones there and they were amazing. The nurses are super nice. Thank you all.
Cold, uncomfortable for the patient and family, this is a leased space within a nursing home for people that are at the end of life. there are verbal tensions and fights between staff-- and not a warm soft place. Go to Avow.
