I cannot say enough amazing things about this local blood bank. While my mom has been coming here for years, I am a newer donor, and I am so incredibly thrilled to have discovered this place. I always get incredibly nervous and anxious about the whole process, but the team here is exceptionally personable, friendly, patient, and professional. Had a noon appointment and arrived about 2 minutes before noon. Door was still locked.
Don't bother donating blood with Vitalant. They won't show up and they don't care. If you make an appointment they'll just cancel the blood drive without telling you and yet still email you daily about how important it is that you show up to an appointment they've canceled in order to "save lives." This seems to just be some sort of scheme to collect people's private information. My hematologist warned me about how sketchy and untrustworthy Vitalant is and I should have listened.
