A New Year's Day bottle of champagne confetti sent my 13 year old son to the ER with a scratched cornea. He was in excruciating pain and could not open his eye. We were terrified as we had never experienced this type of injury before (and with three boys, that's surprising). Dr. Castillo was the ophthalmologist on call and he met us at his Beaver Dam clinic.
