The best experience purchasing glasses and contacts When I first came to the store I was greeted promptly by a smiling sales person. I needed to have an eye exam and they set me up as a walk-in appointment. The doctor was great he took his time and was very professional. Once my exam was done I got two pairs of glasses one clear and one sun-glass and they were both done in an hours wait time. I was very pleased overall and will go back. Visionworks I liked the dr. who did my eye exam and I liked the deal I got on my glasses. They were great about fixing my glasses when my dog used them for a chew toy. They could use more staff working during busy hours. It's difficult to get assistance when you go to the store.
Horrible experience! I went in on Sat to pick up the 2 pairs I ordered (they never called me to let me know they arrived, of course!) there were so many people there that they could not keep up with us! Had to leave, just like a few other people! the ones that stayed did so only because they had already waited so long they hated to lose their place in line! Came in with my own frame & prescription for eyeglasses. Was told the insurance REQUIRED I buy the frames from them too. Found the best deal, at $69, for a total of $640 for the eyeglasses, $400 provided as my eyecare benefit and $240 from the Flex Card my insurance provides for eyecare expenses as well. Was waiting for my Flex Card in the mail, so asked Visionworks to hold the order for me. Returned a week later and found their "prices went up" the day before by $40. We returned after having some customer service issues, and had our prescriptions ordered for the frames I payed for, and decided to upgrade another personal pair under the minimal option that was allowed after purchasing the first pair. We payed our Co pay for that second order but were given the run around a few weeks later while picking up the first prescription/frames ordered. this place is worthless. be prepared to wait a month to get your glasses. and that's if they were made correctly the first time. I would get my money back an go somewhere else but they are holding my insurance claim hostage and say it could take 3 weeks to get my money back! insurance company notified.....
