HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE HERE! My relative kept telling the doctor that the prescription wasn't clear, the doctor would huff and puff, change the lens and then aggressively ask if it's better. His energy and demeanour was honestly very scary. After a couple of times, my relative ended up just saying that the lens looks clear because she was genuinely scared and the Dr. was getting very impatient. She just wanted to get the appointment done and over with because she knew that there was no way she'd proceed with her procedure here.... read more
Jo was his name he made my experience truly calm and relaxing. I was very scared but he talked all the time and kept me very informed. Very positive. He was with another lady but she didn’t say anything and that was a bit annoying as he was so upbeat. She just sat there but I ignored the negative and just focused on what Jo was telling me. Thank you and to the doctor who didn’t say much but was quick and very skilled as I basically felt nothing. One more to go hope Jo will be there again.
If google would allow zero stars, then that’s what I would select. I had a corneal cross linking procedure in 2025, he was careless, rude, rushed, and extremely arrogant, I’ll say it twice, extremely arrogant. Maychuk is the type of person you never want to be around. There are plenty of better specialists with much better demeanours in Edmonton and there is no reason why any doctor should refer their patients to this person, he does not deserve anyone’s business. Negative 100 stars.
My surgery went awesome, it was fast, and stuff was awesome helping me cope with the worries and nerves. They were clear and explanatory with what I should expect before during and after surgery. I couldn’t have ask for a better surgical team of doctors and nurses.
