The VA sends me here as part of their community care program. However, there is some issue with me wanting to pay out of pocket for eye glasses because I don't like the options the VA has. Twice I have been there and twice I have not been allowed to look at any eye glasses. I'm not sure why they don't want to sell any eye glasses but I guess I will have to get the VA to send me somewhere else from now on. *Update* The VA sent me back here once again to get an eye exam and glasses. Several months ago, I had the opportunity to have my annual eye exam. I had it done at Vision Square Eye Care. Dr. Stephenson did the exam and told me that I should have cataract surgery, because my eyes were now at the stage that they would benefit significantly from it. He referred me to Dr. Griffin. My 1st visit to the office. I went to the eye glass dept. I had a broken nose rest. The lady brought back my NOW broken ear side of my glasses. It was not broken when I took it there. She could not match up the lens in a new pair. I would have bought a new frame. No appoligise. Now I really have a broken pair of glasses.
My experience from the moment I walked in to the moment I left was a 10/10. Every member of staff was welcoming with a smile, I felt comfortable asking questions, and the doctor that I saw actually took time to educate me about my vision which has never been done for me before with another eye care professional. I was also very impressed with the cleanliness and overall aesthetic of the office. I’m glad I chose Vision Square Eyecare and I look forward to my next appointment!
