I had a great experience in this emergency department today. I had an intense migraine that has only worsened over the past few days, resulting in cyclic emesis and syncope this morning. The admission secretary and registrar were very kind, and my nurse Michelle and Dr. Filart were incredible. I often struggle with not receiving the level of care I need (unless I am actively vomiting or fainting in the facility) due to the invisible nature of my chronic migraine disability, but that was not my experience here. Yesterday, I had an accident where I hit my nail very hard and I decided to go the emergency room to get it looked at because I thought my nail bed completed disconnected so I went to this location. After I was admitted, we (my husband and I) were placed directly across from the doctors consultation office. I can’t say enough good things about my experience at the Virtua Health Emergency Room. From the moment I walked in, I was treated with compassion, efficiency, and professionalism.
