This practice is incredibly unorganized and it is unacceptable. The front office is completely clueless about even the simplest inquiries. For four weeks straight, I’ve been trying to get a referral that I had discussed with Dr. Astrid Von Walter for continuity of care. The front desk keeps sending me on a wild goose chase for something as simple as a referral that my doctor is aware of. They told me it would be posted on my online portal and it never happened. The staff was polite, but I had to wait over an hour past my appointment time and wasn’t able to see the doctor. I understand delays happen, but there was little communication about the wait. Better scheduling or updates would really improve the experience.
I waited for 60 minutes plus filled out same information several times and complete another online form. It’s really annoying and the attention wasn’t great.
Dr. Von Walter is everything I could imagine a top rated doctor to be. She is skilled, proficient and knowledgeable about women's health issues and on top of that her professionalism and personal demeanor are beyond exceptional. She listened to me so closely to understand my concerns and reassured me prior to my surgical procedure and performed all of the appropriate tests, etc... prior to the procedure to rule anything out. Dr. Astrid RVW is amazing and always giving natural suggestions to support overall wellness. I was fortunate to meet her back in 2015, as my gynecologist in MD and to my surprise I found her again when I needed care in VA. She’s attentive, kind, and professional. I moved back to MD but will drive the 50 minutes to stay with her.
