I cannot say enough positive things about this office. During the initial evaluation, Dr. Johnson immediately found the issues with my child's vision. She went from letter and number reversals and skipping of words and lines while reading, to proper spelling and scoring at grade level on standardized reading assessments! In addition, she is more socially interactive and less anxious in crowds. Therapists, Cindy and Emilia, are excellent to work with, and I felt like they truly wanted to see my child succeed. Vision therapy is not only for young children who might need help with reading. I am a Senior citizen and a former high school teacher. I have certainly been reading well for years! As I am aging, though, my eyes were not working well together. Double vision was normal for me when my eyes were tired. I have been in therapy for about 6 months and I have much better control over my eyes. I am far from ready to stop driving! When we expand our knowledge base, it increases brain activity.
