I hate that I even have to select one star to leave this review. We have been a Virginia Propane customer since 2021. During that time, our annual propane refills have been: 2022: 40 gallons 2023: 45 gallons 2024: 56 gallons 2025: 66 gallons 2026: 67 gallons Despite our usage steadily increasing each year, we were recently informed that because we do not meet a new 70-gallon annual minimum, our tank rental fee is increasing from $48 per year to $190 per year—nearly a 300% increase. We only use propane for our gas logs and ou... read more
This is the worst propane company in Richmond Virginia. They will deliver will 20 gal every 3 months regardless if you need propane or not. They get their $15 delivery charge With the least provocation they threaten to dig up your tank and just leave a big hole in the ground. They even threatened to destroy my fence if it got in their way. Customers service is a joke. They lie about correspondence just to trap you. Suffice it to say they are morally bankrupt.
We inherited Superior Propane when we bought our house. We’ve never used propane before and submitted an online form with Superior when it started getting low. Around the same time, Quarles trucks had shown up at our house on different occasions while we were gone but didn’t leave a note, message, or anything. We weren’t even sure which company they were with (again, new to propane). After I submitted a form online to set up an account, Marina called a few days/maybe a week later. I missed the call so I called the main line.... read more
Warning to others: I’ve been a happy customer for years, but they just hiked my annual 'inactive' tank fee by 280%. They are charging this fee even though they left my tank disconnected and unusable during the last refill visit. When I reached out to resolve this, the customer service was incredibly poor. It feels like they are penalizing customers for 'inactivity' that they caused by leaving the equipment inoperable. Look elsewhere if you want transparent pricing and functional service.
I wish I could give them zero stars. We moved into a new home and requested the propane tank be picked up as it is no longer needed. They advised they would pick it up 3 weeks from when requested. I reluctantly agreed even though I needed it gone sooner. Today they were supposed to come pick it up. It was a no call, no show. I called to see what was going on and they advised they would “come get it in May sometime”. They never reached out to us at all. Very unprofessional and would never work with this company. I am going to... read more
