I went to VM urology because it was the first place I could get into after experiencing abdominal pain and finding a massive (10.5 cm) kidney cyst on a CT scan at the ER. I continued to experience intermittent, positional abdominal pain. Great doctors but the staff (nurses and medical assistant) are awful. Was sent to the lab on 3 different occasions with no procedure due to misinformation. No attempt to fix the problem even though my doctor was asking for updates. Clinical manager also never returned any messages when I tried to sort it out.
I was extremely disappointed in the outcome of my radical prostatectomy conducted by Dr Corman at Virginia Mason Hospital. The procedure left me impotent and incontinent. This, after Dr Corman declared himself an “excellent surgeon” in a meeting I had with him while weighing my options to deal with my prostate cancer. In literature he provided about prostate cancer and treatment it indicated that the post-prostatectomy incontinent rate at Virginia Mason was only 8%.
